The NPF is a democratic, non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-racial organization, formed in 1945. We are comprised of 450 seniors' chapters and clubs across Canada, who have a collective membership of 1,000,000 Canadian seniors.
It is dedicated to stimulating public interest in the welfare of older Canadians by:
helping seniors maintain a life of dignity and independence, educating, counselling and advising governments on what seniors think about issues in Canada such as health care, pensions, housing, social programs, free trade, the environment.
At the yearly convention, 100 resolutions are prepared and a brief is taken to the government.
