Veterans of the armed forces will tell us how they help other veterans, paramedics, nurses, teachers, and anyone who has suffered PTSD in the line of duty. Come and be a part of this luncheon and learn more about the incredible program that helps people move forward in their lives.

CCRTA Spring Message

Hello Everyone!

Just a short note to wish you a happy spring!  Thank you to our members for the donations to support our Retired Educators’ Bursary. We are able to provide three bursaries. One to each of the following schools Carihi, Timberline and Robron.

We have two pending workshops planned for members this April.

  1. COSCO STAY ON THE ROAD WORKSHOP (See the attached poster) is booked for our regular Thursday meeting April 18 2024 at the Eagles Hall.
  2. PARKSVILLE/QUALICUM RTA INVITATION to join them, Wednesday, April 10 FOR A PRESENTATION BY:

BCRTA President Arnie Lambert. Ernie will share information about his trip to South Africa on behalf of BCRTA and its work in conjunction supporting teachers and students in the cities he visited.

Arnie will also speak about the new federal PHARMACARE PROGRAM, the effects of COLA on our PENSIONS and other topics important to BCRTA members. The workshop will be held at Bradley Center (975 Shearme Road, Coombs) Doors will open at 1:30 to allow for social time and refreshments before the presentation begins at 2:00 pm. Free to all BCRTA members; $2.00 to invited guests. Attendees are asked to register at pqrtaprograms@gmail.com  so that we know how many to expect, or call Jennifer 250-937-9314 or Lisa at 250-248-5001. Please also bring your own coffee mug/water bottle and a name tag. If you would like to attend the workshop with Arnie, we can carpool.
