Kamloops Branch – Lunch & Silent Auction
Kamloops-Thompson Teachers’ Association invites you to our March Lunch & Silent Auction
The Silent Auction supports KTRTA bursaries at TRU and donations to the Canadian Harambee Society (CHES). The Endowment Fund currently holds over $105,000, funding two bursaries for Education students. The Club Executive determines fund disbursement in September, with a focus on TRU, CHES, and McQueen Lake.
Popular auction items: Consumables (baked goods, preserves, wine), homemade crafts, jewellery, books, plants, gift cards, and unique items. Creative donations like specialty meals, outings, or handmade goods are encouraged.
**A somewhat rare blue rock last year was the focus of lively bidding – an example of thinking outside the box with respect to donations.**
Event details:
- Arrive early to drop off auction items.
- Bidding begins once items are displayed.
- Cash or cheques accepted for bidding/donations.
- Tax receipts available for TRU & CHES donations of $20+.
No obligation to bid—come for good company and food!
