Our Executive

Membership of GIRTA

We are a small branch that is geographically spread out. We have approximately 100 members with approximately 65 living on Salt Spring, 18 on the other Gulf Islands, 12 on Vancouver Island, and a few further a field.

Presenter: Gerry Tiede provided updates on:
• pension issues, insurance related to Johnson Insurance being bought out, Provincial and National Association activities, and travel;
• his many years of work making lives of teachers better was very evident
A short meeting followed by lunch

December 4, 2024
Short meeting and lunch social at Woodley’s Restaurant on Salt spring

Our next scheduled meeting and social will be sometime in June, 2025
There will be a discussion on what type of presentation we want for our end of 2025 meeting.
