Welcome to the Kamloops Thompson Retired Teacher’s Association! Our branch geographically covers not just the Kamloops Thompson region but also areas of the province west to Lillooet, east to Chase, south to Westwold and north to Blue River. We include retired educators from the Gold Trail and Kamloops Thompson School Districts. We also have members who taught school elsewhere and joined our local branch when they moved to our region after retirement. We currently have about 450 members. We look forward to hearing from you!
If you are not already a member of the KTRTA, we invite you add the Kamloops Thompson branch to your BCRTA membership for just $5.00 a year. Your membership will support our regional efforts and ensure that you receive our emails with an invitation to participate in our Lunch & Learn events and our twice a year THE BRIDGE newsletter. We hold seven Lunch & Learn events each year, featuring exciting speakers and delicious meals. These events are held on the last Friday of each month from September to April, except for December. Joining us is easy – just contact Laurie Boyd at BCRTA toll-free at 1 877 683 2243 or email her at office@bcrta.ca and ask her to add the Kamloops Thompson branch to your membership. Alternatively, you can simply use the BCRTA ‘Update My Member Information’ form and leave a message for Laurie to add the Kamloops Thompson branch to your membership. We hope you’ll support our local branch and we look forward to welcoming you at one of our Lunch & Learn events.
